5309 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How many, if any, non-enrolled students aged 6 to 16 are there as at February 2026, and of those students, how many, if any, have had their non-enrolled status for 12 months or more?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that there are 5,854 non-enrolled students aged 6 to16 as at 1 February 2026. Of these students, 1,510 have had their non-enrolled status for 12 months or more. Please note that some case records may have remained open while attendance service providers work through migrated cases. The last day of attendance is entered manually by schools, so occasional data errors are possible.
