5304 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Did NZTA advise that resourcing constraints posed a safety risk to commercial driver licence integrity after December 2024, and what emergency funding sought was sought, if any?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA has advised me that the resourcing constraints noted in the review report relate to the monitoring and compliance of Course Providers and were not related to overseas licence conversions. No emergency funding was sought as NZTA is addressing the review recommendations within existing funding.
