5299 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: Was a selection panel set up to consider applicants for the Sport New Zealand Board, and if so, who was on the selection panel?

Hon Mark Mitchell: All applicants for Sport New Zealand Board appointments are considered by the Ministry for Culture and Heritage, with support from the Sport New Zealand Board Chair. It is not clear which appointments the member is referring to, so I cannot specify who was on the selection panel.
