5248 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How, if at all, has the second Oranga Tamariki Military-Style Academy been designed to enable the clinical staff working on the programme to follow the participants into the community?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki the new Military-Style Academy programme includes a larger clinical team, enabling individual therapeutic intervention and support and case management. I am further advised support from the clinical team has been designed to provide continuity from the residential phase and continue into the community phase, with therapeutic support being provided both in-person and remotely.
