5247 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Will Oranga Tamariki employ mentors to work with participants in the second Military Style Academy; if not, why?

Hon Karen Chhour: A learning from the Military-Style Academy Pilot was that a more individualised approach is needed regarding providing mentors for participants. I am advised by Oranga Tamariki the requirement for mentors will therefore be determined during the residential phase of the new Military-Style Academy programme.
