5242 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How, if at all, is Oranga Tamariki planning to test extended residential orders, extended supervision and supervision with activity orders in the community?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that work to test the model for use of extended residential, supervision and supervision with activity orders will include developing forecasts, working through the impacts of extended durations with relevant providers, and refining the procurement approach.
