5240 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: Further to Written Parliamentary Question 1429 (2026); What work is being done to identify the costs associated with staffing and when will it be complete?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police is working closely with Health New Zealand on the establishment of new co-response teams, including determining the appropriate operating model and staffing requirements for each location. Any staffing costs associated with these teams can not be determined until the operating model is confirmed. Police expects this work to be complete this financial year.
