5221 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Public Service: What is the current level of compliance, if any, within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, with NZ Government Web Standards, which require public sector websites to be accessible?
Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that the level of compliance for the NZ Government Web Standards is publicly available at: https://www.digital.govt.nz/standards-and-guidance/nz-government-web-standards/centralised-web-accessibility-checker-cwac/agency-leaderboard-cwac#agency-leaderboard
The Centralised Web Accessibility Checker provides quarterly scans of the Commission’s websites. The Commission has made significant progress in reducing the accessibility issues identified through these scans.
The Commission will continue to track its Centralised Web Accessibility Checker results and respond to any identified issues to ensure its websites comply with the NZ Government Web Standards.
