Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Women: What is the current level of compliance, if any, within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, with NZ Government Web Standards, which require public sector websites to be accessible?

Hon Nicola Grigg: I am advised an audit of the Ministry for Women website identified the need to improve its website to be compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). In response, the Ministry is actively working with its content management system developer to remediate and resolve the areas identified for improvement. The Ministry for Women is committed to improving accessibility across its channels, ensuring that content is user focused and meets NZ Government Web Standards and the International Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
