5196 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister responsible for the NZSIS: What is the current level of compliance, if any, within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, with NZ Government Web Standards, which require public sector websites to be accessible?
Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that the NZSIS actively strives to meet the Web Accessibility Standard 1.2, which forms part of the New Zealand Government Standards.
Compliance is assessed via the Centralised Web Accessibility Checker (CWAC), an automated testing tool. Results are available to the public, with detailed results for each government website found at www.digital.govt.nz.
