Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What is the current level of compliance, if any, within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, with NZ Government Web Standards, which require public sector websites to be accessible?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The Government Web Standards are only mandatory for public service departments. The only website captured by this standard within my responsibility is the Department of Internal Affairs website. The Department of Internal Affairs has advised that its website is not currently fully compliant in meeting accessibility standards. To meet accessibility standards, the Department is migrating its website to a new platform
