5190 (2025). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 10 February 2025, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents from 10 -14 February 2025 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC): • Prime Minister’s weekly brief, 10 February 2025 • Progress on Government Targets for the Quarter ending December 2024, 14 February 2025 • Aide Memoire: Meeting with Jewish Community Leaders, 14 February 2025. I also received five documents within the specified timeframe, however, it is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings. In my capacity as both Prime Minister and Minister for National Security and Intelligence I received the following document: Aide Memoire: Intelligence and Security Committee Meeting on 19 February 2025, 14 February 2025. Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
