Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Housing: What is the current level of compliance, if any, within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, with NZ Government Web Standards, which require public sector websites to be accessible?

Hon Chris Bishop: Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing and Urban Development website content is developed in compliance with New Zealand Government Web Standards. The Ministry is committed to making improvements, including using automated and manual accessibility testing, as part of the ongoing development of our channels and content, to meet and exceed accessibility guidelines. Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that its website currently follows the NZ Government Web Standards and currently meets an AA level for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
