Hon Penny Simmonds: Yes, as the Minister for the Environment I retain responsibility for the exercise of statutory functions under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA), shared with the Minister Responsible for RMA Reform. This is a new portfolio with responsibilities that include leadership on RMA reform matters and setting the strategic direction for the environmental management system.
