5184 (2024). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What, if any, briefings, reports, aides memoire, memos, advice, correspondence or other documents has the Minister produced or received regarding New Zealand providing military support to the Solomon Islands election, by date and title?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: In my capacity as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, I received the following documents regarding New Zealand providing military support to the Solomon Islands election: • A submission titled ‘Solomon Islands National General Election Support 2024’, dated 23 August 2023. • A submission titled ‘Solomon Islands election 2024 – New Zealand observers’, dated 26 February 2024. • A joint submission titled ‘Deployment of NZDF Logistics Support for Solomon Islands Elections 2024’, dated 8 March 2024. I am withholding the title of one submission, received on 7 April 2024, as it is still under active consideration, and to protect the international relations of New Zealand.
