5177 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Conservation: What is the current level of compliance, if any, within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, with NZ Government Web Standards, which require public sector websites to be accessible?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the Department of Conservation has a good level of compliance with New Zealand Government Web Standards for the core website (doc.govt.nz) and new public services. I am further advised by the Department that for public facing legacy systems, the standard of compliance is more varied. The Department has implemented an internal scanning function to help improve adherence to the standards over time, and to ensure new systems meet the standards on release.
