5165 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Further to WPQ 694 (2026), of the 18 projects (119 homes) reforecast from 2025/26 to 2026/27 due to consenting delays, in which regions are those projects located, and what is the average length of delay per project?

Hon Tama Potaka: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that around 250 homes have been re forecast from 2025/26 to 2026/27 due to extended consenting and engineering approval timeframes. Affected projects are in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, the Eastern North Island, Wellington, and Nelson/Marlborough/West Coast. Delays average 30–60 days.
