Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister responsible for RMA Reform: Under the Fast-track Approvals Bill, is it the Minister's intention that access for mining activities could be gained to land described in Schedule 4 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991, despite the general prohibition on this in section 61(1A) of that Act?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Fast Track Approvals Bill does not change the types of mining activities that can occur on Schedule 4 land. These activities remain constrained to what is outlined in section 61(1A) of the Crown Minerals Act.
