5159 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Further to WPQ 694 (2026), what criteria are used to determine when to supplement build partner capacity or implement six-day work weeks, and what additional costs, if any, are associated with these measures?

Hon Tama Potaka: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it supplements build partner capacity or uses six day work weeks when delivery risks are high and local capacity is constrained. Six day working brings forward completion by re sequencing programmes. An approved $3m spend supported acceleration of ~470 homes in 2025/26, offset by earlier rental income.
