5148 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Further to WPQ 611 (2026), what is the expected average cost per placement from the $7 million allocation, and how was this calculated?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the $7 million allocation for social housing places to accommodate people being supported through Housing First was arrived at by considering the range of expected costs of between $28,300 to $37,200 per place per annum depending on the region, rather than an expected average cost.
