The following excerpt may be of use to the Member: Assistance with the proposed Government investment of 500 additional constabulary staff, including matters related to recruitment and retention. This delegation means you will have responsibility for supporting me with: • Policy development, funding, and any necessary Cabinet approval in relation to the additional constabulary investment, including providing direction on phasing, outcomes from investment, and budget implications. • Monitoring progress towards achieving the 500 additional constabulary staff, including allocations into additional Youth Aid Officers, as outlined in the Coalition Agreement.
