5082 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: What is the full list of programmes and courses which were offered through Open Polytechnic in 2025 but not in 2026, if any?

Hon Penny Simmonds: Please see below for full list of programmes and courses which were offered through Open Polytechnic in 2025 but not in 2026. • NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care Level 3 • NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 1 • NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 2 Open Polytechnic is teaching out learners completing the following programmes in 2026 i.e. there will be no new 2026 enrolments: • Certificate of Achievement in Tertiary Study Skills (Level 4) • Certificate of Achievement in Small Business Basics (Level 4) • Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting • NZ Diploma of Engineering (Fire strand) – but will continue to offer related courses through a certificate of proficiency.
