5041 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Mental Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 on the action area ‘Develop a skilled, enabled, culturally safe and responsive workforce that includes expertise from clinical and lived experience perspectives’ under ‘Objective 1: Create a full spectrum of services and supports’ within the Ministry of Health’s Strategy to Prevent and Minimise Gambling Harm 2022/23 to 2024/25?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, work continued to embed lived experience frameworks, advisory groups, and peer support roles into the continuum of services to prevent and minimise gambling harm. I am further advised that 19 gambling harm scholarship recipients continued to receive assistance to complete their course of study, which is in addition to the payment of course fees and associated study costs. Recipients of the scholarship include those from populations of need (Māori, Pacific, Asian, youth), and the lived experience community.
