Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Mental Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 on the action area ‘Enable the development of Pacific values-based gambling-harm prevention and minimisation services’ under ‘Objective 4: Strengthen the health and health equity of Māori, Pacific peoples, Asian peoples and young people / rangatahi’ within the Ministry of Health’s Strategy to Prevent and Minimise Gambling Harm 2022/23 to 2024/25?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand continued to work closely with contracted Pacific health service provider Mapu Maia, which delivers gambling harm services in all four regions to Pacific and non-Pacific people.
