5028 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Health: What processes, mechanisms or systems, if any, are in place to monitor who is prescribed medicinal cannabis?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the current ability to monitor the prescribing of medicinal cannabis is limited. However, the Ministry of Health is currently working with Health New Zealand to develop and implement the Medicines Data Repository, part of the NZ ePrescription Service platform, to enhance monitoring capabilities.
