5025 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2024 to achieve the expectation ‘Introduce a national approach to supported discharge and early discharge models, assisted by technology such as medical devices and strengthened capacity and capability in primary and community health care, that takes into account cultural contexts, caring responsibilities, and options for those in more remote and rural communities. This includes for mental health and addiction’ under the objective ‘1.2 Develop models of care to better meet people’s needs closer to home’ within the Government Policy Statement on Health 2024–2027?
Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. As has been said to the Member in previous Written Parliamentary Question replies, Health New Zealand will give effect to the Government Policy Statement through the New Zealand Health Plan. I refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 60017 (2024).
