Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2024 to achieve the expectation ‘Prioritise the sustainability and quality of health services for older people. This includes ensuring aged care services and funding models support older people to live well, age well, and have a respectful end of life in age-friendly communities’ under the objective ‘1.2 Develop models of care to better meet people’s needs closer to home’ within the Government Policy Statement on Health 2024–2027?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. As has been said to the Member in previous Written Parliamentary Question replies, Health New Zealand will give effect to the Government Policy Statement through the New Zealand Health Plan.
