Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2024 to achieve the expectation ‘Implement initiatives that support an increased understanding and uptake of online care and telehealth, particularly in primary and community health care settings, and to equip people, families and whānau to better meet their own mental wellbeing needs’ under the objective ‘1.3 Increase access to online health services (including telehealth) and improve access to communication, information and transport and accommodation assistance’ within the Government Policy Statement on Health 2024–2027?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. As has been said to the Member in previous Written Parliamentary Question replies, Health New Zealand will give effect to the Government Policy Statement through the New Zealand Health Plan.
