4979 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: Further to his response to WPQ 56052 (2025), which noted that Pharmac could not isolate NDA-related costs for August 2025, why is Pharmac’s invoice system unable to identify the expenditure associated with a legal agreement, and what steps, if any, has the agency taken to determine those costs?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by Pharmac that Pharmac’s invoice system identifies the recipient of expenditure and the type of service provided. In this case the charges were for legal services rendered. Non- disclosure is not a distinct item for which Pharmac was charged.
