4974 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does he believe that the Consumer Guarantees Act and the Fair Trading Act are still fit for purpose given the rise of online corporations like Temu; if not, what reforms does he intend in 2026?

In November 2025, Hon Nicola Willis and I announced changes to increase maximum penalties for breaches of the Fair Trading Act and to support keeping product safety standards up to date.
