4960 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: What criteria, if any, did the Minister use to assess prospective appointments to the Teaching Council Governing Council?

Hon Erica Stanford: Assessment of candidates is undertaken by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) in accordance with section 476 of the Education and Training Act 2020 and relevant gazette notices. The advice provided by the Ministry informs my final decisions on candidates which then goes through a Cabinet process.
