4935 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: How many Full-Time Employees, if any, are currently working on monitoring or addressing migrant exploitation at any and all of the relevant agencies?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that as at 10 February 2025 Immigration Compliance and Investigations have a total of 149 staff. This branch is not part of INZ but belongs to another service delivery group within MBIE. These staff work on a range of issues relevant to Compliance with the Immigration Act and investigations into breaches of the Crimes Act and this includes work on addressing migrant exploitation.
