4924 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: Why did the Minister state that there should not be any more teacher-only days during term time before consulting Minister Stanford?

Hon David Seymour: I refer the Member to my full statement, “Schools will have to play their part in setting a good example as well. This means not taking teacher-only days during term time. Under existing regulations, and terms of the union contracts, teacher-only days are only legally allowed to be held out of term time, unless authorised by the Minister of Education.
