4921 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: Can the Minister confirm if the Aotearoa/New Zealand government is allowing officials from Myanmar's military junta to attend the upcoming ASEAN meeting in Wellington?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Representation at the ASEAN-New Zealand Dialogue is at official (bureaucrat) level. New Zealand’s suspension of high-level political and military engagement with Myanmar remains in place, as do travel bans against individuals in Myanmar with responsibility for the 1 February 2021 coup and related human rights violations.
