4917 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: Was the Minister provided with information regarding Compass Group and Libelle having a combined 44 performance management plans, out of the 75 total plans performed since 2021 for the seven largest providers, before the School Lunch Collective contract was signed last year; and if so, was this information provided to Cabinet?

Hon David Seymour: As the procurement process for the new model of the school lunch programme was managed by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry), detailed information on suppliers was not provided to me. I am advised by the Ministry that the performance of incumbent suppliers, including Compass Group and Libelle, was considered in the Registration of Interest evaluation process, negotiations and contract award decision.
