4909 (2024). Lan Pham to the Associate Minister of Finance: Further to Reply 3630 (2024), has the Minister of Finance (or their delegate) sent out a directive letter to Land Information New Zealand regarding the Government's general policy approach to overseas investment in sensitive New Zealand assets?

Hon David Seymour: So far in this Parliamentary term, there has not been a Ministerial directive letter issued to Land Information New Zealand regarding the Government's general policy approach to overseas investment in sensitive New Zealand assets. On 4 April 2024, Hon Chris Bishop and I issued a Ministerial directive letter to give confidence to the Build to Rent sector while legislative changes are being made to provide a streamlined pathway for overseas investment in Build to Rent assets.
