4860 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Finance: Does the minister still intend to direct Inland Revenue to build a new system, in order to deliver their original Family Boost relief directly to families?

Hon Nicola Willis: The current focus is on the delivery of the FamilyBoost scheme as announced, to provide targeted support to parents and caregivers of young children to manage the rising cost of living with a partial reimbursement of their ECE fees. Decisions on possible changes to the scheme or its method of delivery will be considered in the future.
