4807 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend fixing database security breaches in the 2023 calendar year?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was a departmental agency hosted by DPMC to 24 September 2025 and is now hosted by the Department of Internal Affairs. For the calendar years 2022- 2025, I am advised that neither DPMC nor NEMA have had any database security breaches and therefore there has been no expenditure.
