4804 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Associate Minister of Justice: Will burglary be a qualifying offence under the proposed Three Strikes legislation?

Hon Nicole McKee: The National-Act Coalition Agreement committed to restoring the three strikes sentencing law, and work is well underway on progressing this commitment. This Government intends to pass the necessary legislation as soon as possible in this Parliamentary term. Announcements on the details of the policy will be made in due course.
