Hon Shane Jones: The table attached provides a list of all currently active minerals permits and licences as at 14 February 2025 located entirely within, or overlapping, the Buller coalfield (as defined from Sherwood 2019, The Geology and Resources of New Zealand Coalfields). The Buller coalfield was used as a proxy as a clear spatial definition of the extent of the Denniston Plateau was unable to be obtained for mapping purposes.
