Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter (September to December 2023), toward implementing the recommendation to ‘direct Pharmac and Te Aho o Te Kahu to develop a partnership to enable closer integration with the cancer health sector, with a focus on ensuring equitable access to funded cancer medicines’ from the Pharmac Review final report?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised that Pharmac has progressively developed its partnership with the Cancer Control Agency and meets with them on a regular basis. The agencies are in the final stages of agreeing their first Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
