4730 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Justice: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend fixing database security breaches in the 2023 calendar year?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry of Justice (the Ministry) did not incur any expenditure fixing database security breaches during the 2023 calendar year, as the Ministry did not experience any database security breaches during that period. The Ministry manages database and security services for Te Tari Whakatau, who fall under the Ministry’s response.
