4429 (2024). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Climate Change: Further to his answer to OPQ 2 on 5th March (continued on Wednesday, 6 March 2024), has he yet requested or received advice on the draft GPS's alignment with the government's emission reduction plans; if not, why not?

Hon Simon Watts: No. The Government is currently undertaking cross-agency work to prepare the second Emissions Reduction Plan. This includes deciding the multi-sector strategy to ensure emissions budgets are met, as well as developing sector-specific policies to reduce emissions. Relevant agencies, such as Ministry of Transport in this case, lead the development of these policies.
