4401 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: How many staff in MBIE work in the Commerce and Consumer portfolios, listed by operational, policy and enablement functions, as of 1 March 2024?

Hon Andrew Bayly: I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment does not attribute staff to particular portfolios in this way, and many teams across the agency contribute to work in multiple portfolio areas. For their Briefings to Incoming Ministers, MBIE undertook a manual exercise to calculate staff working in the operational and policy areas by portfolio.
