4382 (2025). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister of Agriculture: Why was Bovaer not listed in Table 10.1: Technology for reducing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions, in the published document New Zealand’s second emissions reduction plan 2026–30?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that Table 10.1, while showing a range of tools that have been invested in across key sectors, is not exhaustive. The Second Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP2) acknowledges that “Many other mitigation tools are in development. Examples include Fonterra’s Kowbucha and DSM’S Bovaer”.
