4351 (2024). Hūhana Lyndon to the Associate Minister of Health: How many tobacco and vape outlets are there from Te Hana to Kaitaia Northland?

Hon Casey Costello: There are 55 approved specialist vaping premises located in Northland from Te Hana to Kaitaia. Overall, it is estimated that there are approximately 220 retailers who sell tobacco products and/or general vaping products located in Northland from Te Hana to Kaitaia. I am advised that the Ministry of Health does not hold exact information on the number of tobacco and general vape retailers as there is no tobacco or general vape retailer approval scheme.
