4306 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Immigration: Has the Minister received any advice on whether the new Active Investor Plus visa settings could have inflationary effects on housing or other assets?

Hon Erica Stanford: Under current settings an investor would need to be ordinarily resident in New Zealand before they are able to purchase a home. In addition, the anticipated number of people (hundreds) who may be approved for this visa means it is statistically improbable for a market distortion to occur.
