4297 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Conservation: Is the Minister comfortable with Bathurst Mining company's plans to translocate roroa, rare snails and lizards on the Denniston Plateau, and if not, why not?

Hon Tama Potaka: I have not received any advice on translocating roroa, rare snails and lizards in regard to the Section 71 Wildlife Act application by Bathurst Coal Limited to salvage protected wildlife from its mine on the Denniston Plateau. The member should note the Department of Conservation has the delegation for decision making in this matter.
