4267 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: With regards to Reply 1374, in the search for mental health professionals, for the Wairarapa Community Mental Health Team, is Health New Zealand looking to recruit psychiatrists; if not, why not?

Hon Matt Doocey: Yes, I am advised that Health New Zealand is looking to recruit psychiatrists for the Wairarapa Community Mental Health Team. I am further advised that Health NZ continuously advertises and seeks recruitment support from international agencies to recruit professionals qualified and trained to support those with mental health, addiction, and/or intellectual disability issues.
