4235 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Will the Minister look at increasing the funding of more clinical placement interns (in psychology)?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that Health New Zealand has provided salary funding for 50 psychology interns for 2024. I am advised that discussions are underway with universities to encourage an increased intake to the tertiary training programmes for all the psychology scopes that contribute to the health workforce.
